Katy Classical Academy is a place like no other. I’m not sure how I went thirty years of my life without KCA, or taught for eight years at any other school. The community is welcoming, uplifting, Christ-like, and wildly different (in the best ways) than what I was used to in public school. The content and learning is rigorous, and every subject meshes together in a way I wish I had experienced growing up! It’s the perfect blend of Jesus, family, and passionate lifelong learning skills for anyone wanting to homeschool but not wanting to do it alone.

The Brown Family

We have been fortunate enough to be a part of the KCA family for over 3 years. This homeschool/private school hybrid has been a fantastic fit for us and allowed for more meaningful learning experiences, community, enrichment opportunities and accountability (for my children AND us – the parents!)

Experiencing education through a classical model surrounded by fellow believers has enhanced our homeschool experience in immeasurable ways.  The teachings from a biblical worldview with an emphasis on history and literature have been a game changer for all of our learning and have fostered rich family discussions where we can all participate!

We have been blessed to partner with KCA and are forever grateful to all the passionate teachers and administrators who have invested countless hours into this program and our children.

Our family began attending KCA with a late start - our children were in the dialectic and rhetoric programs, and hadn’t been “classically” educated until this point.  We came to KCA having recently moved to Texas, and were desperate for connection and community.  The spirit of acceptance, warmth and connection our whole family experienced from KCA has been like none other.  Not only have our children received a stellar education with caring, patient, and integrity-filled teachers, but they have also made lifelong friendships including both students and teachers.  My husband and I have also made special connections with the teaching staff, so our WHOLE FAMILY has benefited from attending KCA.  The presence of the Holy Spirit  - both in the pursuit of educational excellence for His honor and glory and in learning more about Himself - is loud and clear in this school, and we are beyond grateful the Lord led us here.

It was 9 years ago that our family moved to Brookshire, Tx. There was a calling and a mission for us to do in a special ministry we are still currently part of. Our 3 kids had been attending a public charter school where they felt content so I had not given homeschooling much thought until our move, when we realized that the school they were zoned to ranked very low. I searched for options and someone told me about KCA. At first, the idea of being one of the teachers for my children scared me. I didn’t fully think I could do it in addition to my full time plus ministry but I knew I wanted what was best for my children. KCA welcomed our family graciously. I was left in awe by the evident devotion teachers had for students and mainly their love for Christ. I remember my kids telling me that first year how much their teachers cared about them. The structure, dedication for the word of God and the superb education it offers has shaped each one of my kids. It has not been an easy road but most certainly the best choice we made and has been worth every effort. KCA has become more than the school my kids attended. They are now family. Classmates grow together and support each other. We are forever grateful for KCA.
