Mrs. Zachary
History Team Lead, Upper School
Mrs. Zachary has been teaching at KCA for six years. She is passionate about truth and pursuing the study of history in the light of Truth. Her main objective in the classroom is to develop the students’ ability to look at the past with a desire to understand, a hunger to learn, a mind to heed the warnings, a heart of gratitude for those who have gone before, and an eye to see the glory of God.
Mrs. Zachary is a veteran home educator. Before joining KCA, she homeschooled her children for 28 years, teaching her children history in four-year cycles from Creation to Modern History. At KCA she is the Upper School History Team Lead and teaches history to the Rhetoric students. She also facilitates dual credit classes for LeTourneau University in government and economics.

When Mrs. Zachary is not teaching or preparing for classes at KCA she is feeding her love of history through travel with family, visiting local museums with whoever will go with her, discussing her current reading with one of her adult children, or reading through stacks of books about history or about the God of all history. If asked, she will tell you that her favorite era is whichever one she is currently teaching or reading about. Then she will tell you that her favorite person in history, besides the God Man Yeshua, is Dietrich Bonhoeffer and invite you to read Bonhoeffer, Pastor, Prophet, Marty, Spy, and then join her for coffee and have a chat about him.
